We are based in St. Petersburg, about 25 minutes from the Clearwater bridge, and we are up in Clearwater most weeks. When you call, you reach the family that does the work, and the owner is on your job rather than a crew sent down from another county. Most tubs are finished in a single day: hand-poured epoxy from $550 with a 5-year warranty, or a budget spray refresh from $420.
Clearwater is several housing markets stacked on top of each other, and the tub usually tells us which one we are standing in before anyone explains the house.
The Harbor Oaks district was laid out in the early 1900s by the developer Dean Alvord, and it still holds 81 historic buildings between Druid Road, South Fort Harrison Avenue and the harbour. Bathrooms here often keep the original cast iron tub and the original tile, and that tile is the reason not to tear anything out: matching field tile from the 1920s is a losing game. Hand-poured epoxy gives you a new surface and leaves the walls alone.
Mid-century ranch houses on wide lots, mostly built through the 1950s. Standard five-foot alcove tubs, usually with the original tile surround, and often a second bathroom that has not been touched since the house went up. Straightforward jobs, and the wall tile can be done in the same visit.
Island Estates was dredged out of the harbour and built up mainly through the 1960s and 1970s, with the median house dating to around 1975. Those bathrooms are usually original cast iron or porcelain over steel, sitting a few doors down from full rebuilds. Either way it is worth ten minutes on the phone before anyone quotes you a replacement.
A different job entirely. Beach condos are usually fiberglass or acrylic units from the 1970s through the 2000s, thinner and more flexible than cast iron, and they need different preparation. We will say up front when a spray refresh is the sensible choice instead of the premium coating. Building rules matter here too: the epoxy process is odorless, there is no demolition and no dumpster, the unit stays livable, and we can send your association proof of insurance before we come.
The September 2024 surge went through homes and businesses across the barrier island, and parts of Clearwater Beach were still being cleaned out weeks later. A tub that sat in saltwater usually looks far worse than it is: stained, dull and chalky, but structurally sound. Refinishing costs a fraction of replacement at a point when every dollar is already committed. Send photos and we will tell you honestly whether yours is worth saving.
The subdivisions north of Drew Street are newer, and much of what we do there is rental and pre-sale work: a tub that has to look clean in a listing photo and hold up for the next tenant. That is what the spray option is for, and we will tell you when it is enough.
| Hand-poured epoxy | from $550 | Odorless, usable in 24 hours, 5-year written warranty, built to last up to 20 years. |
| Cosmetic spray refresh | from $420 | Cures in 48 hours, 1-year warranty, typically 2 to 5 years. Best for rentals and pre-sale. |
| Property managers and realtors | $50 off either option | Volume work in occupied units, minimal downtime. |
| Replacing the tub instead | from about $3,000 | Once you count demolition, tile and disposal. Takes about a week. |
Every price is a starting point. Send a few photos and we will give you the real number the same day.
Downtown and the Cleveland Street district, Harbor Oaks, Skycrest, Morningside, Del Oro Groves, Coachman Ridge, Countryside, Feather Sound, Island Estates, Mandalay, Clearwater Beach and Sand Key, plus Dunedin, Safety Harbor and Largo next door. If you are in 33755, 33756, 33759, 33760, 33761, 33763, 33764, 33765 or 33767, we cover you.
You are in St. Pete. Do you actually come out to Clearwater?
Yes, most weeks. Clearwater and the beaches are part of our regular route, not a subcontract. The owner is on the job.
I live in a condo on the beach. Will the building allow this?
Usually yes, and it is exactly why we recommend the epoxy process there. It is completely odorless, there is no demolition, and the unit stays livable throughout. If your association needs proof of insurance, we are a registered and insured Florida business and can send it over.
My tub was under saltwater after the 2024 storms. Can it be saved?
Often, yes. Send us photos. A tub that looks ruined is frequently just stained and dull, and that is what refinishing fixes. If it is genuinely damaged past saving, we will tell you rather than take the job.
My house is from the 1920s and the tub is cast iron. Is it worth refinishing?
Almost always. Cast iron tubs from that era are better made than most tubs you can buy new, and pulling one out usually means damaging tile and sometimes a doorway. Refinishing gives you a new surface without any of that.
Send a few photos of your tub and your zip code, and we will tell you which option makes sense and what it costs, including when the answer is to leave it alone for now. Get a quote, or call (727) 205-9697.

I’ve had so many compliments on their work! Here’s some Before and After pictures. Thanks guys!!Posted on Google Claire CummingsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recommend this industrious, talented couple as highly as possible! Max was everything you ever wanted in a skilled artist and technician in your home. A true professional, Max was prompt, efficient, courteous, and very clean, leaving not a trace of his amazing transformation of my old, rusty bathtub. This re-glazing included, and was the reason for, the repair of the 50 year old rusty drain which was about to go, and which was expertly filled in and returned to full function. Not only was it a pleasure to meet Cristina and Max and have them in my home, but they provided a very reasonable alternative to a new bathtub for a very affordable cost. I was impressed by the respect they showed for my home, and my time, and most important and impressive is their dedication to open communication! As a Professor my rating is A++/Posted on Google David BrownTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent service from start to finish. I hired ReTub for a bathtub surface restoration on a rental property, and the transformation is unbelievable. The process was quick, there was no mess, and the new coating is perfectly smooth and durable. This is definitely high-quality eco-friendly bathtub refinishing that lasts. If you need your tub fixed right, these are the guys to call.Posted on Google Sanela BoltuzicTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I honestly don’t know where to begin because this experience exceeded every expectation I had. From the very first message, Christina was warm, professional, and incredibly responsive. She made the entire process effortless with her excellent communication and genuine kindness. You can immediately tell she truly cares about her customers and takes great pride in their business. Every interaction left me feeling valued, and it’s rare these days to experience customer service that is this thoughtful and personal. One of the biggest reasons I chose ReTub Pro in the first place was the quality of the refinishing system they use. They don’t use a typical spray-on coating—instead, they use a high-quality epoxy refinishing system that provides a beautiful, durable finish. Another huge selling point for me was that the process was virtually odor-free, which made the experience so much more comfortable than I expected. On top of that, they stand behind their work with a 5-year warranty, which gave me complete confidence that they truly believe in the quality of their craftsmanship. That combination of premium materials, a healthier refinishing process, and a solid warranty made my decision incredibly easy. Then there is Max. He is an incredibly hardworking craftsman who truly takes pride in his work. Refinishing took approximately 6 hours and he even returned the following day for another couple of hours to make sure to seal the tub and making sure everything was absolutely perfect. He never rushed the job or cut corners. He simply wanted the finished product to be something he could be proud of. The transformation of my bathtub is unbelievable. Looking at the before and after photos, it honestly looks like I had a brand-new tub installed. The finish is smooth, glossy, and beautiful. Every detail was carefully completed, including the new drain hardware and clean caulking. What impressed me the most wasn’t just the quality of the work—it was the integrity behind it. Max worked incredibly hard for every dollar he earned, and I actually told him I think he’s underestimating the value of his craftsmanship. Companies like this deserve to succeed because they genuinely care about doing the job right. ReTub Pro is a wonderful local family-owned business run by hardworking people who clearly care about their customers and their reputation. It was a pleasure supporting them. If you’re considering having your bathtub refinished, don’t hesitate. I recommend ReTub Pro without the slightest reservation. Thank you, Christina and Max, for your professionalism, kindness, honesty, and exceptional workmanship. I wish your business continued success—you have absolutely earned!Posted on Google Maya BrooksTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Five stars! ReTub Pro completely transformed my tub! I needed bathtub refinishing in St. Petersburg, FL, because my old tub was peeling. They did a premium hand-poured liquid epoxy method instead of a cheap spray paint. It looks like a brand-new tub with a beautiful high gloss finish, and what I loved most is that it's 100% odorless and safe for my family and pets. Maksim prepped everything by hand, removed the old moldy caulk, and was super professional. If you want top-quality tub and tile reglazing or resurfacing in the Tampa Bay area, definitely call this family business. Plus, they give a 5-year warranty!Posted on Google Jessie LawrenceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our old bathtub was in terrible shape-stained and rough-and we were seriously considering a costly replacement. Thankfully, we found ReTub instead! They did an incredible job with the liquid acrylic bathtub refinishing. The technician was professional, neat, and the result is amazing. It looks and feels like a brand-new tub.
